HABITAT: Scrublands, rain forest, grasslands, and forest.
DIET: Ants, termites and other insects.
GENERAL: The Nine-Banded Armadillo is a solitary animal and prefers to come out at night to forage for food, but they have been spotted during the day. If frightened the Nine-Banded Armadillo can jump 3-4 feet into the air.
