STATUS: Least Concern

HABITAT: Swamps, lakes, creeks, rivers and other slow moving water.

DIET: Small mammals, birds, amphibians, fish, and even turtles.

GENERAL:  Another name for the Water Moccasin is Cottonmouth, it gets this name because of when threatened it will open its mouth and display the white insides.

The Water Moccasin has close to 40 other names depending on what part of the snakes range you’re in.
