HABITAT: Dense vegetation in conifer forest of western China.

DIET: Seeds, grains, berries, any type of vegetation.

GENERAL:  Though the males are brightly colored they are hard to see in their natural range due to the thick vegetation, the best times to see the Golden Pheasant is in the early morning hours.
