HABITAT: Goliath Bird Eaters live in marshy areas from southern Venezuela to northern Brazil.
DIET: Insects, lizards, frogs, and the occasional small rodent or bird.
GENERAL: The Goliath Birdeater is the largest tarantula in the world with a leg span up to 12 inches, which is about the size of a dinner plate. These tarantulas will silently move toward there pray and then pounce on their victim, piercing them with one-inch fangs.
