Green June Beetle
SPECIES: Cotinus nitida
STATUS: Least Concern
HABITAT: Woodland borders, pasture areas with high organic content with manure used as fertilizer, and around homes with lawns.
DIET: Fruit and leaves as adults and grubs consume organic matter and other small insects.
GENERAL: Green June Beetles, also known as June Bugs emerge in early May until the middle of June, but are most common throughout July and August.
