SPECIES:  Lithobates catesbeianus 

 

STATUS: Least Concern

HABITAT: Pond, swamps, marshes, lakes, etc.

DIET: Rodents, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish, tadpoles, or anything they can overpower and put in their mouth.

GENERAL:  The American Bullfrog or Bullfrog which is what it is commonly known can weigh over one pound making it the largest frog in North America.

Even though the American Bullfrog is found in other areas of the world such as South America, Europe, and parts of Asia, the natural range is what is depicted on the map.
