SPECIES: Passerina cyanea

 

STATUS: Least Concern

 

HABITAT: Forest edge, woodlands, and farmland.

 

DIET: Insects and seeds.

 

GENERAL: During the summer the male Indigo Bunting is a beautiful vibrant blue, but during the winter months turns a brown color like the female which is brown year-round.
